Childhood Memories
When I was 5 years old, I got in a fight with my parents and I told them I was going to run away. Knowing I wouldn't get very far, they both told me to pack my bags and go if that's what I really wanted. So being the stubborn girl I was, I threw my clothes in a bag and left through the front door. I immediately felt scared and alone. I sat in the dark backyard of my house feeling vulnerable. I finally got cold and scared enough that I went back inside. My parents welcomed me back in with a hug and a kiss. I realized then that family is an important aspect in every kids life. They provide them with a sense of safety and security, along with love and support. It taught me to cherish the memories I have with them and learn what I can, because they aren't always going to be there to guide me.
